First Workshop on Modelling Social Energy Practices
Nov 18, 2013 12:00 AM
End: Nov 19, 2013 12:00 AM
Location: Centre for Research in Social Simulation, University of Surrey, Guildford, UK
The Modelling Social Energy Practices workshop invited contributions that described computational models inspired by social practice theory, presented models of household energy demand, and evaluated different models of social energy- related practices.
Thirty-eight delegates attended the workshop which covered a range of topics such as the social diffusion of habits, the diffusion of innovation in products that use cleaner technologies, the function of energy labels, energy practices in transition, transport and commuting practices, domestic energy demand, the dynamics of socio-technical regime changes and acceptance of innovation, and low carbon energy behaviour.
